Food Justice

RCHP’s largest contribution to Food Justice is the Global Grace Cafe. Open Monday through Friday, Global Grace provides healthy, global food, cooked and prepared by refugees from around the world. Global Grace Cafe serves lunch in the RCHP social hall from 11:30-2pm each day. RCHP volunteers also receive food from Trader Joes 2-3 days a week, making those groceries available to vulnerable families involved in our various programs and ministries.

As of the Fall 2020, RCHP is also partnering with Interfaith-RISE in addressing the issue of food sovereignty, by jointly establishing Global Grace Farm.  This farm will allow RCHP and partner organizations to help build a locally grown food source for families in need and will allow a location for refugees, and other vulnerable groups, to develop their own small plots for locally grown produce.
