Children’s Worship & Sunday School
Each Sunday during the school year, we offer Children’s Worship during the sermon portion of the worship services, and there are Sunday School classes offered between the worship services (at 10:15am) for all ages! Youth Groups
Youth ministry at RCHP is a community of youth and adult volunteers who come together weekly to grow in love and wisdom through fun activities, study, prayer, community engagement, social action, and spiritual practices. High School Youth Group meets on Sunday evenings from 7:00 to 8:15. Middle School Youth Group meets on Wednesday evenings from 7:00 to 8:15. Kids in the Cave (4th-5th graders) meet every other Sunday after Second Worship Service (12:30 to 2:00pm). Subscribe to our Google Calendar, or email our youth minister below!
Worship and Musical Participation
At RCHP, children and youth are full participants in the Sunday morning worship services, particularly through music. We incorporate young singers, musicians, dancers, actors and readers on a regular basis—not as performers, but as worship leaders. Music is a large piece of engagement with young people, and we encourage musical and artistic expression from people of all ages—especially our youngest members. We have two choirs for younger children, which are meeting every Wednesday from 5:00 to 5:30pm.
Confirmation Class
Each year, we journey with a group of teenagers (usually 7th-8th grade), to explore all the dimensions of their lived faith in God. Each student keeps a journal and participates in classes that creatively examine the big themes of Christian theology, with the goal of crafting their own personal faith statements that reflect God’s work in their life and in their community. We are about to begin our 2023-2024 Confirmation Class in October 2023, so please reach out to be included in this year’s Confirmation Class!
