The worship of RCHP reflects the community of faith that gathers each week to praise God in word, song and deed. Our music is a blend between the new songs of contemporary Christian music, the traditional hymns that are beloved by all, and international songs that reflect the global community of faith. Our many choirs (Chancel, Gospel, Indonesian, First Voices, and Voices of Praise), the Praise Team, and the RCHP Band greatly enhance our worship time. To read more, please click MUSIC.
We celebrate Communion on the 1st Sunday of the month and/or on the 1st Sunday of a new liturgical season. All are welcome at the table. A monthly healing service has become a very important part of the worship experience at RCHP. This usually happens on the 2nd Sunday of the month. You are invited to come forward for a laying on of hands and a prayer for healing and comfort.
At RCHP we believe that all children are part of God’s family in worship. We want children to feel that this is their place, too. To read more, please click CHILDREN AND WORSHIP.
SUNDAY MORNING FAITH DEVELOPMENT
Sunday morning education is an important time for all ages to be formed in their faith. The CHILDREN’S SUNDAY SCHOOL program meets in the classrooms on the stage in the Social Hall. We begin by gathering to sing and pray on the stage and then disperse to assigned classrooms. There are two classes for adults: The Adult Education Class meets in the Parlor and rotates between topic based and Biblical based discussions which are led by a variety of teachers. Sunday Morning Bible Study meets in a room off the Social Hall is is led by a Seminarian Student Minister.
SUNDAY EVENING “The TABLE” 6-8pm, Dinner and Worship with an Emphasis on Service
The Table is a space where anyone can come meet for a unique shared meal experience. Part of what makes The Table so special is how the bible study, fellowship (inreach) and outreach is all wrapped up into one experience. We prepare group meals as part of the service that we provide for each other as well as the other fellowship opportunities. Left overs, planned overs, and anything else we can scrounge up during our meal making is also used for homeless outreach and members of The Table distribute food to the homeless every Sunday night through partner programs. It’s a wonderful experience and we’d love to see you there! All are welcome.
